NB: Full details of our ESG initiatives are available on request

Recycling

Recycling facilities are available in all multi-let managed buildings, and recycling of waste wherever possible is a requirement in all construction and development projects.

Travel

Unnecessary travel is discouraged with SSC staff, agents and consultants. Virtual meetings and conferences are encouraged where appropriate.

Supply Chain Relationships

SSC adopt a careful selection process for supply chain relationships, ensuring (wherever possible), that all partners and suppliers have “green” credentials and are environmentally responsible.

Bio-Diversity

Where landscaping and planting opportunities are available on sites, plants, trees and wildflowers are included to encourage insect and birdlife. All plants and trees are responsibly sourced from nurseries. Bird and bat boxes are installed where possible to increase nesting opportunities.

EV Charging

EV charging points are installed in all major refurbishments (where appropriate).

Energy Supplier

Where Landlord electricity supplies are required on site, “green” utility suppliers with renewable power priorities are given preference.

The viability of alternate low carbon energy generation, such as bio-fuel CHP generators, are being investigated.

EPCs

A full portfolio review of the EPC status of each premises is undertaken on a quarterly basis.

At individual lease events and refurbishment opportunities, action is taken to undertake works to improve EPC ratings and ensure compliance with current regulations and future proof to achieve a C rating by 2027 and B rating by 2030.

Off-Site Construction

Where projects allow, the use of modular and off-site construction is utilised to benefit from the efficiencies and environmental advantages associated with this.

Sustainable Design

All design opportunities are taken to eliminate negative environmental impacts, to take advantage of renewable resources, green technologies and innovation and to improve the buildings performance.
